Christopher Whyatt
Christopher Whyatt (born June 12, 1954) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper who played for Derbyshire.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Christopher Whyatt )〕
A product of Derbyshire Schools and Colts, both of which he captained, Whyatt made his debut for the Second XI team in 1972, whilst pursuing a Masters Degree in Education at the University of Nottingham. He was understudy to Bob Taylor before the latter went on to represent England more consistently in the post-Kerry Packer era. Whyatt represented the North of England against the South at Hove in 1971, before being selected for the National Association of Young Cricketers (NAYC), playing against the touring Indian side. He made his first and only first-class appearance against Cambridge University in 1976, as a middle-order batsman, staving off a hat-trick in an innings victory. Whyatt took two catches during the match.
Whyatt continued to appear for the Second XI into the 1978 season before taking up a teaching post, though he continued to play as a professional in the Yorkshire League.
